Basic Reproduction

This workbook is an introduction to the reproductive system. In the following pages is information detailing parts of the female and male systems.

 

Grooming and Equipment

Grooming entails preparing the horse for riding. Not only will this ensure the horse is clean prior to saddling but provides the handler with the opportunity to check the horse thoroughly for injury, will promote circulation and allows bonding time between horse & handler.

 

Coaching

The next four weeks of the coaching is dedicated to completing the Community Coaching General Principles from the Ausport website:

You will need to log in and enrol in this course from the ‘Browse Learning’ tab. The course and log in is free and a prerequisite to advancing further in the coaching of this course. Remember to send us a copy of your statement of attainment upon completion of the Community Coaching General Principles

Also before beginning the practical assessments of coaching you need to complete a first aid course (which includes the CPR component). In Australia the requirements of this course aligns with the St.Johns Apply First Aid (also known as Workplace Level 2). Any first aid course needs to be of this equivalent (units HLTFA301C/HLTFA311A)
